PREOX FIBER -PANOX FIBER ARAMID FABRICS FEATURES AND AREAS OF USE

Oxidized polyacrylonitrile fiber Preox, also known as Panox, is oxidized polyacrylonitrile fiber.
(PAN) is a flame-retardant material with many properties applied to different industries.
Pre-oxidized fabric is also called PANOX fiber fabric or PREOX fiber fabric. The fabric is made of PAN-based pre-oxidized fiber and para-aramid fiber.
The great features that Preox has are that it does not burn, melt or drip and it stands out for its LOI. It is a standard in the textile industry, internationally recognized as fireproof textile fibers.
Preox can be used in many different areas as an effective protection against fire and heat.
Our oxidized fibers PAN are extremely versatile and can be easily used in a wide range of different textile processes to produce high-performance fabrics that are economical, fireproof and insulating. Nowadays we need more protection in our daily life, for example if we travel by train, the seats must be flaming retardant, the padding or inner lining of the upholstery of the seat must consist of Preox fibers to prevent the spread of flame in case of fire.
On the other hand, in case of fire we may not always have an extinguisher nearby, flame retardant fire blankets made of preox are used to combat the fire elements and prevent possible burns during the fire evacuation process.
Fabrics made from pre-oxidized fibers, designed to offer ideal properties as a lining or blanket in case of fire, are always preferred. Preox 200 and Preox 500. It is a flame-retardant fabric that provides easy ready-to-wear and adaptation.
Preox does not burn, melt, soften or drip, directly providing outstanding flame resistance. It is self-extinguishing and has an exceptionally high LOI.
These features make Preox the most effective heat and flame barrier fiber on the market, serving as a barrier for many sectors.
Designed specifically for metalworking program use, these fabrics are also designed to provide high-range protection and withstand molten metal splashes exceeding 3,000F without breaking into the fabric.
Raw fabric produced from Preox blends has a soft touch as well as its low weight and is suitable for operating temperatures up to 400 °C.
This fabric is preferred in personal protective equipment and machine protection processes.
Nowadays, the fabric, which is a 70% PREOX / 30% PARA-ARAMID mixture, is mostly used in industrial areas.
The proportion of raw materials used is generally 70 percent or 60 percent pre-oxidized fiber and the remaining proportion is para-aramid fiber. Fabric weight is generally 240-280g/m2. The proportion and weight of raw materials can also be customized according to requirements. The fabric is made in woven twill and can also be made in ripstop ripstop plaid.
In addition, Aluminum coated heat resistant Preox fabric continues to be an ideal fabric for the production of Personal Protective Equipment today.
Aluminum Coated Preox Fabric.
• Aluminum coated back
• It is a knife and cut resistant fabric.
• It is flaming retardant.
• It is used in heat resistant work clothes.
• It is durable and solid.
• It has good breaking strength and high puncture resistance.
• Fabric to heat ratio: 400°C (short endurance 500-600°C); aluminum coating: 500-600°C
Another of our Preox fabrics is Silicone coated Preox Fabrics.
It is used in industrial areas by making silicone coating for waterproofing and durability.
It also provides resistance against molten metal splashes.
It does not catch fire during the combustion process, the limiting oxygen index (LOI) of oxidized fiber is generally 40 ~ 60, so the thermal insulation effect is good, acid and alkali corrosion resistance.
Usage and Application Areas:
• It is used as a thermal insulation cut and puncture resistant intermediate layer.
• It is used in heat resistant work clothes.
• It is used in heat protective clothing such as jackets, aprons, gloves or shoes.
• It is used in protective clothing such as protective vests and cut-resistant gloves.
• It is used in hunting clothing.
• Fencing vests
• Kevlar vests, protective vests, ballistic vests, thermal insulation jackets
• It is used in bulletproof vests.
• Used for Gloves, Suits, Fire Blankets, Welding Blankets.
• In the battery protection cover
• Dog protective vests
