BENTONITE CLAY COVER
Short description
WATERPROOFING
BENTONITE CLAY COVER
Bentonite clay cover is an impermeability material formed by wrapping natural sodium bentonite material with solid geotextiles. An impermeable gel is formed as a result of contact with bentontin water, which is trapped thanks to self-enveloping geotextiles. In this process, natural bentonite expands to about 16 -18 times its dry weight and forms an impermeable layer. When water is withdrawn from the environment, it returns to its original state. This cycle is constantly repeated and does not particularly affect the waterproofing of the material.
