PTFE COATED GLASS FIBER SEWING THREAD

Short description

PARA- ARAMIDE FABRIC SEWING THREADS

PTFE COATED GLASS FIBER SEWING THREAD

Made of high-quality alkali-free glass fiber yarn with special process and PTFE coating.

The processed fiber is smoother, softer, more wear-resistant, more resistant to folding, with high temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, high strength and excellent properties.

PTFE coated fiberglass sewing thread is a highly specialized type of thread and is designed for use in harsh industrial environments. It is used in a wide variety of areas thanks to both the high temperature resistance of glass fiber and the chemical resistance properties of the PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene, Teflon) coating.

Description

Technical data :

The PTFE coated fiberglass exterior is resistant to heat, chemicals and is made of strong, continuous fiberglass strands. Fiberglass is also coated with PTFE, which also improves the coating and reduces friction. Can withstand operating temperatures up to 550°C (1022°F) The PTFE coating has a higher heat resistance than fiberglass, burning at 620°F (320°C).

PTFE coated fiberglass sewing thread is a high performance product designed for extreme conditions. Made by twisting high-quality alkali-free fiberglass yarn and coating it with PTFE, it offers exceptional heat and chemical resistance, durability and flexibility.
Can be customized in different colors.

Areas of Use and Application:

Ideal for insulation jackets, heat shields, filtration and aerospace applications. With its non-stick and lubricated properties, this sewing thread is excellent for high temperature and chemical exposure environments. Can also be enhanced with silicone oil for additional lubrication. With its high tensile strength and smooth stitching properties, it provides long-lasting performance even in harsh environments.

In High Temperature Applications

Oven covers and gaskets

In thermal insulation blankets

In thermal curtains

In sewing fireproof textiles

Glass fiber can withstand high temperatures (usually up to 500°C), while the PTFE coating makes the yarn more flexible and prevents the yarn from being damaged by friction.

In Environments Requiring Chemical Resistance

In chemical processing equipment

Seams resistant to acids, bases and solvents

In industrial filter systems

The PTFE coating is inert to most chemicals, making the thread ideal in aggressive environments.

Heavy Duty Sewing Applications

Heat and chemical resistant filter bags

Fireproof clothing, in the seams of work clothes

Insulation fabrics of equipment operating at high temperatures

In Ventilation and Filtration Systems

In dust collection systems

High temperature filter bags

In gas filtration systems

In Areas Requiring Mechanical Strength

In load-bearing seams (e.g. belts or protective covers operating at high temperatures)
